It’s a charming location surrounded by wildlife and birdlife, has a great restaurant, and you can take part in a few activities while at !Khwa ttu, such as guided tours through the bushveld, and browse their arts and crafts shop that is filled with items carefully crafted by the San people.

Needless to say, a visit to !Khwa ttu is definitely something to put on your ‘things to do in Yzerfontein’ list.

4. Darling

Upon exiting Yzerfontein, a 20-minute straight-shot drive will lead you to Darling. This town has found its place on the map due to the famous music festival, Rocking the Daisies, which you can consider when thinking of things to do in Yzerfontein for sure, but Darling has so much more to offer!

You could visit Evita se Perron, a refurbished rural train station that is now made up of two theatres, a restaurant, and an arts and craft shop…

If you’re looking for fun things to do in Yzerfontein that’ll impress your family and friends, you can visit 16 Mile Beach! Why does it impress? Well, this beach is the longest uninterrupted beach in South Africa!

16 Mile Beach starts just north of the main beach in Yzerfontein and ends at the West Coast National Park. It is not just impressive by its length however. In fact, many have given thanks to this majestic coastal beach for its peacefulness and ability to take long, introspective walks. In fact, an admirer exclaimed, “It is the place I found my soul!”
